Opening in 1974 in Aberdeen South Dakota, the Aberdeen Super 8 East, still in operations, Super 8 grew from a smal motel referral system to a larger motel chain and nowadays to a cheap motels chain franchise with more than 2,000 hotels and 130,000 rooms.
